Whenever I am faced with a crisis and I try an look at how I will face it by making light of it ( in a good way)

What can we do now with the limited resources we have at the moment…..very much like having to conjure up dinner with what is left in your fridge at the end of the month where money is so limited….You take what you have, no matter if it is your favorite or not and make a plate of food

It satisfies your hunger even though you did not really enjoy it.

For us to relate to….

Our flight has been rescheduled

Our departure gate and terminal building has been changed

Our visas have been cancelled

Our Tour Operator has gone bankrupt.

Would you just give up on your travel arrangements?

You have packed, beyond excited, researched and planned your itinerary for weeks and months, saved for long, have arranged your pets and dogs to be looked after and your thoughts have only been focused on the next few weeks of holiday.

How would you react?

This is the same thing.

You would set a plan in motion to contact your friends on your network to assist and work out a new plan on new airlines, amend your land arrangements, maybe pay in more but you will be focused on travelling as planned even though there are a few and slight changes.

The greatest give to give each other is to stop contemplating ideas of what the next thing is and just settle down and instead ask why don’t you and I become the next thing because the next thing should be coming out of you or us.

HOW DOES THE TALK TOPIC REFER TO WHAT WILL BE DISCUSSED?

Percentages…..the 80% mindset and 20 % strategy I should and can have.

The worms and butterflies that is the natural cycle of life

The complete power I have of my mind that will determine how I am going to approach anything in my life whether good or bad.

As the famous Life coach Tony Robbins says….

SUCCESS is determined by 80 % mindset/psychology and only 20% strategy.

All actions start with thoughts, Whatever you put in your mind so it will think and live.

Happiness is now and will fuel the movement for your future.

The frame through which we see life is often the biggest problem, the good news is that you can change your frame, it will not change your problems but it can revolutionize the way you see and approach your problems.

Just because a problem is in your proximity it does not mean it is your problem. It is exhausting trying to solve the problem when it was not yours in the first place.

Stop changing the song if the problem is your singer.

Don’t buy property in pain town…Pain town is for tourism and not permanent residency.

Being aware of your thoughts, actions, words is a super power from birth. Self - correct yourself as an internal filter

Sometimes you need to change your industry and disrupt another industry. Network and mix with people from another industry so you can think out of the box and not have the same negative narrative.

Fly with the eagles rather than mix with the chickens on the ground.

Think BOLD and think of MOONSHOTS. What is moonshot- They are audacious ideas that look impossible to attain but can be done.



The more persistent a thought over time the stronger its influence. Have to have affirmations and good thoughts consecutively for 28 days to be a physiological change in your brain.

In every situation there is a space between the situation and your reaction to it.

Success comes from standing on top of your challenge.

Change is an event but transition is a process and must be intentional. Transition is not a hallway but a room on its own. You are the most creative through transition period.

Transition is the cocoon part of the metamorphosis…This is the darkest part of the metamorphosis but also the part where most of the change comes.

How to become unstoppable in challenging times.

Do not break the momentum, we have to keep on moving with short rests only.


Change is the one thing in life you can bank on and the minute we stop changing we will die or stop living.


The life cycle of a caterpillar starts with an egg. The egg is pure potential with no limiting beliefs when we are born.

We then grow up to be worms and the caterpillars role is to grow as big as it can and then it dies… It dissolves into worm soup in the chrysalis to become reborn/changed to be a beautiful butterfly.

The worm moults 4 or 5 times before it dies and becomes worm soup.

There is always a crack in everything to allow the light to shine through and to become your beautiful butterfly.

The worm has to break, dissolve into worm soup and reforms. This chrysalis has to be rearranged to become an entirely different creature. When it removes itself from the chrysalis it struggles and rests, struggles and rests before it emerges. A person saw this happening and tried to help the butterfly free but he did not realise that it takes time to file the butterflies wings with a liquid so he can fly and if this process is cut short, the butterfly cannot fly.

After the man cut this chrysalis the butterfly flopped to the ground as their wings were not formed yet and died. Do not interfere with the process!

The beautiful butterfly emerges in the correct time from the chrysalis and flies away. The butterfly is a symbol of freedom and joy.


Martha Beck explains the life cycle in 4 stages:


1. DEATH AND REBIRTH

This can be in physical or spiritual from and can be compared to now what we are experiencing…death of freedom and movement, isolation etc and the rebirth of a new way of living.

2. DREAMING AND SCHEMING

We make plans, we are not a worm or a butterfly but in the chrysalis at the moment. When you look from the outside it is beautiful but inside a lot of darkness, chaos and change are taking place. This comes in the form of a physical change manifestation, cutting your hair, losing weight, rearranging your home, divorce etc


SLOGAN : There are no rules and that’s okay


Visualisation

Intention Setting

Playing with possibilities

Daydreaming

Making Plans

Designing the future you want


TIPS : Dream Big if your dreams aren’t scary you are not dreaming big enough

Reverse Engineering Start with what you truly desire

Write your dreams and actions down


3. HEROES SAGA


SLOGAN: This is much worse that I expected and that’s okay


Fear and excitement

1 step forward and 2 steps back

Lots of redesigning the plan ( Going back to dreaming and scheming) Practice makes perfect

Don’t expect overnight success

Enjoy the journey


TIPS : There is NO such thing as failure, you are just finding ways of how not to do things,

Allow yourself enough time to play

Hang in there the darkest hour is just before the dawn.


4. PROMISED LAND – THE BUTTERFLY

SLOGAN : Everything is changing and that’s okay


Reaping the rewards of your hard labour

Living your dream

Sacrifices pale in comparison to the happiness now

SUCCESS Stop, Take a breath, Observe, Proceed


TIPS : Enjoy and give yourself recognition

Attitude of Gratitude

Know that change can and will happen


CONCLUSION


Success of course means standing on top of any challenge and not just been rich or healthy.

That stills my mind as I know I have to depend on nobody else to achieve success…Only myself!

I can decide whether I survive or thrive, make or break you

Change is not a force to be feared but an opportunity to be seized.
